Who We Are . . .

Greg A. Rico, M.A., Ed.D,LPC

Dr. Rico has worked in the public Education for 30 years. As a certified public school counselor, Greg has helped students navigate the college admission process for 19 years. He has visited an extensive number of college campuses across the country, gaining personal perspective of a variety of campuses. Recognizing his experience, colleges have invited him to serve on their Counselor Advisory Boards including the University of Chicago, University of Alabama and Texas Tech University.

Professional associations are key to providing students with current resources and connections. Greg has served as the Secretary and Executive Board member of Texas Association for College Admission Counseling (TACAC) and has been a long time member. He has been a delegate to the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).  Additionally, he has been committee member for the NACAC National College Fair Dallas since it began. He has extensive experience as a presenter of professional development for college admissions. 

Greg served as a counselor and special education coordinator at Highland Park High School, Dallas, ACT/SAT coordinator for Yavneh Academy and special education teacher in –Farmers Branch ISD. 
What he enjoys most is seeing parents and students every day!

Beth Irwin, M.A.

Beth Irwin is dedicated to helping students and parents prepare for and navigate through the college search and application process. She brings 30 years of counseling experience into this personalized partnership with college bound clients. Through her experience, she is able to help individual students begin early in their high school years to make choices reflecting their genuine and authentic selves.

 

As a college consultant, staying well informed through professional partnerships benefits students. Beth has been actively involved in the Texas Association for College Admission Counseling. She continues to maintain professional networks and partnerships with both college and high school professionals across the U.S. She has served on college advisory boards, and continues to participate in professional development sessions at both the regional and national levels. Additionally, Beth has visited an extensive number of colleges and universities across the country, providing her with firsthand knowledge of  diverse college campuses.

 

For twenty-two years, Beth has assisted students and parents with high school college readiness and college admissions. She completed a master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Denver. Beth became a certified Texas public school counselor upon relocating to Texas and began her public school counseling career in San Antonio, Texas. After serving as a counselor in the North East School District for ten years, Beth moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where she held counseling positions at Highland Park High School, Dallas.

 

Beth is now utilizing her 30 years of counseling experience and college admission expertise as an independent college counselor. She looks forward to helping your child prepare early and wisely for the college admission process.
